Emily H. Bertram

Emily H. Bertram’s training and hands-on experience have given her a strong foundation in legal research, writing, and trial advocacy.

Emily earned her bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, with a minor in Sociology, from the University of South Carolina, graduating with high honors. She then earned her Juris Doctor from Wake Forest University School of Law.

During law school, Emily served as an Online Editor for the Wake Forest Law Review and as a Teaching Assistant for Pre-Trial Practice and Procedure. She was also a member of the Wake Forest Trial Bar, earning her position after placing in the Top 4 at Wake Forest’s Trial Bar Competition. Through her work with the Veterans Legal Clinic and several tort-focused legal internships—including an internship with one of the country’s largest plaintiff firms—Emily gained experience navigating complex legal matters and further honed her advocacy skills.
